Franklin County LIBRARY System Book Sale

Have no fear! This is NOT a going-out-of-business sale! It is just a granddaddy of a book and media sale to benefit improvements to the public libraries in Franklin County. More than 10,000 items have been collected!

The sale will be held at Norlo Park Community Center and Barn on Friday, October 28, 4-8; Saturday, October 29, 8-2; and Sunday, October 30, 10-2. We are planning special events for each day. Stay posted here for tidbits and updates.

Contact Jen Harp at 709-0282 x211 to make large donations. Donations of 40 items or less can be dropped at: Coyle Free Library, Grove Family Library, Besore Memorial Library, St. Thomas Library, and Fort Loudon Community Library. While the bookmobile and book buggy will benefit from the sale, they cannot handle your donations for this event. Thank you.

Thank Yous

I would like to take a moment in advance of the sale to thank our sponsors: Budget Self Storage, Estate Pro, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Guilford Township.

Also, high up on my list of thank yous are the people who have and are volunteering to help, and the staff members who have been busy beavers since the beginning of summer planning, sorting and moving books, and much more...Jen, Lori, Bob, Amy, Mark, Joan, and Jill. The "three musketeers" in cataloging have not had a moment to rest since we began, thanks to you generous book donations.

Please come out and make everyone's labor and generosity worthwhile. I promise you won't be disappointed.
